Biography
:
Dr. Skurow was raised and
educated in Ohio and is married to his wife of 38 years,
Marlene. They have two daughters and three
grandchildren.
After graduating from Dental School at
Ohio State University he served in the U.S. Army,
including a year in Vietnam. Afterwards working as a Staff
Dentist for the Wadsworth Veterans Hospital in West Los
Angeles as Director of Outpatient Dental Care. He
finally
settled in Covina California in 1973. Dr. Skurow has
maintained his practice in Covina ever since that time.
His long and distinguished list of accomplishments include serving on the Boards of Directors of; San Gabriel Valley
Dental Society, Southern California Academy of General Dentistry
(President 1999), California Academy of General Dentistry (President
2003) and the World Clinical Laser Institute (Exec. Board
2002-present, Chairman of Certification).
He is a member of many other dental organizations and numerous civic
organizations. Dr. Skurow is a life long scholar in dentistry, he
has attained a fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry and
the Academy of Dentistry International and a Masters from the World
Clinical Laser Institute. He is dedicated to continuing education in
his field.
Dr. Skurow and his expert staff treat all dental patients no matter
the age, apprehension level or type of treatment required. We offer
Nitrous Oxide Conscious Sedation for mildly anxious patients and
Surgery Center/Hospital Dentistry for medically or mentally
compromised or severely anxious paitients.
